The Secret to Bridal Glow? Hydration!

The Secret to Bridal Glow? Hydration!

Every bride dream of glowing, radiant skin on her wedding day, and the biggest secret isn’t a miracle product or a panic last minute facial—it’s hydration. Well-hydrated skin looks plumper, smoother, and more luminous, helping your makeup apply beautifully and last all day.

Here are my top three hydration musts for every bride:

  1. Drink plenty of water in the 2–3 days leading up to your wedding. Hydrating from within is one of the easiest ways to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy. Ideally, we wanted to have between 1.5-2L of water daily. Consider adding some electrolytes too- it’ll help with the party headache too😉

    Personal Fave: Revive Electrolytes.

  2. Use a quality hydrating serum for at least three weeks before your wedding. Hyaluronic Acid serums are great! Don’t go too fancy with new ingredients. Consistent hydration helps strengthen your skin barrier and creates that healthy, dewy glow.

Personal Fave: La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Serum

  3. Apply a hydrating sheet mask the night before and the morning of your wedding—but only one your skin already knows and loves. Your wedding day is never the time to try new skincare products.

Personal Fave: Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask

Planning Ahead? Start Early

If you’re planning your skincare well in advance, book a consultation with your skincare expert to create a treatment plan that’s tailored to your skin and your wedding timeline.

  • Microneedling: Ideally start 6 months before your wedding, with treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Have your final treatment at least 4 weeks before the big day. Microneedling helps improve skin texture, soften fine lines, reduce acne scarring, refine pores, and stimulate collagen production for firmer, more radiant skin.

  • Chemical Peels: Begin 3–6 months before your wedding, depending on your skin’s needs. Your last peel should be at least 3–4 weeks before your wedding. Chemical peels brighten the complexion, improve uneven skin tone, reduce pigmentation, smooth texture, and leave the skin looking refreshed and luminous.

  • Dermaplaning: If dermaplaning is already part of your skincare routine, scheduling a treatment 2-5 days before your wedding can be a wonderful finishing touch. It removes dead skin cells and peach fuzz, creating a silky-smooth canvas that allows makeup to apply more evenly and flawlessly. As with all pre-wedding skincare, don’t try dermaplaning for the first time just before your wedding.

A little preparation goes a long way. By focusing on hydration in the weeks leading up to your wedding, you’ll give your skin the best chance to look naturally radiant, healthy, and glowing as you walk down the aisle.
