A Bespoke Monique Lhuillier-Inspired Wedding Gown

This one-of-a-kind couture wedding gown was custom designed and handcrafted in South Africa by the talented Kristen Masters in 2013, drawing inspiration from the timeless elegance of Monique Lhuillier.

The gown features a beautifully structured strapless sweetheart neckline with an exquisitely fitted bodice, sculpting the silhouette before flowing into a romantic fishtail (mermaid) skirt and dramatic chapel-length train. Luxurious French lace overlays the gown, while hand-applied crystals, diamanté and delicate beading cascade organically down the front, catching the light with every movement and adding subtle, sophisticated sparkle.

The back is finished with an elegant row of covered buttons, creating a classic bridal look from every angle. One of the gown’s most distinctive features is its removable lace shoulder piece, allowing it to be styled in multiple ways—as an off-the-shoulder drape, soft sleeves, or removed completely for a timeless strapless look—offering versatility from ceremony to reception.
