Wedding dresses are a little different from other purchases. They often require more in-depth conversations with the seller, the opportunity to view or try on the dress in person (if you’re in the same area), and sometimes additional arrangements such as purchasing more than one dress from the seller or organising your own preferred shipping and insurance.
For this reason, you have the option to continue the transaction directly with the seller.
However, by choosing this option, you acknowledge and agree that you are leaving Knot New’s protected transaction environment.
By proceeding off-platform, you understand and agree that:
- You will no longer be covered by Knot New’s escrow service, buyer protection, dispute resolution, or transaction support.
- Knot New will not be responsible for any issues, disputes, loss, damage, non-delivery, fraud, or other problems that may arise once you leave the platform.
- You will be responsible for arranging payment, shipping or collection, insurance, and all other aspects of the transaction directly with the seller.
- Once the seller’s details have been released, this decision is final and cannot be reversed.
Marketing Fee
If you choose to proceed off-platform, a tiered marketing fee applies based on the value of the dress.
For this item, the marketing fee is R250.00 — basically the same price as a dress fitting at a boutique. 😉 This fee covers the introduction and facilitates the connection between you and the seller so that you can take the conversation and arrangements forward directly.
How It Works
- 1. We contact the seller to confirm that they are happy for their details to be shared with you.
- 2. You pay the R250.00 marketing fee for the introduction and use of the platform.
- 3. Once payment has been received and confirmed, we share the seller’s details with you.
- 4. From there, you can communicate and make arrangements directly with the seller, including discussing the dress in more detail, arranging a viewing or fitting, negotiating the purchase of additional items, and organising your preferred payment, collection, shipping and insurance.
By choosing this option, you confirm that you understand and accept the above terms and acknowledge that the transaction will no longer be protected, managed, or facilitated by Knot New once the seller’s details have been released.
